My first week on the slow carb diet from Tim Ferriss' book entitled "Four hour body".
Sweetened drinks are a hidden way to add sugar to one's diet, as we usually don't think of them as significant. But the amount of sugar in coffee drinks, soda and juice adds up, putting us at higher risk to weight gain, diabetes, and other disorders. For a healthier alternative, choose agave or stevia, lower glycemic sweeteners.
All sorts of colorful and attractive TV commercials for fast food restaurants, they become quite difficult to resist. Especially for the little impressionable minds. I was excited to hear that Disney will ban all junk food ads on their TV programming targeted toward children.

So as the grilling season approaches, limit your red meat intake to once per week and choose unprocessed, organic, local meats or try many vegetarian and vegan protein rich alternatives!
